Quality Management System
The Mirifice Team has extensive experience in engineering broadcast systems to quality standards such as BS EN ISO 9001:2000 (ISO 9001) and working in project environments that have implemented the Capability Maturity Model.
While Mirifice use industry standard tools in areas such as design, coding, testing, configuration management and change control, our high quality software development approach is underpinned by our own QMS processes and documentation. Our QMS defines a process and set of documents that ensures good practice at the highest level.
Our quality process is driven at the beginning of a project by clearly documenting the system requirements and, in conjunction with the customer, any project specific additions or exceptions to our standard quality process and documentation. From this base we will develop the following key documentation:
• Functional Specification(s)
• Acceptance Testing Specification(s) and Process
• Quality Plan
• Project Plan
We also create an Introduction to Project (ITP) document that provides an overview and orientation to all participants and stakeholders in the project. This will describe the infrastructure, tools and documentation used on the project. The ITP allows new project members to navigate the detailed documentation, such as design specifications or test specifications, understand the tools available and appreciate the higher level context and goals of the project.
In line with the CMM ethos, Mirifice regularly reviews processes and project performance to identify area where there is scope for further improvement.
Rates
We do not re-sell for off-shore development companies or act as a placement agency for freelance engineers. Mirifice is staffed by our own full time staff and our rates reflect the expertise and flexibility we offer. We have a small number of UK based associates who have skills in line with our permanent employees.
