What is MiriMON?

Increasingly broadcast and telecommunications network operators need to differentiate their service by providing an excellent customer experience. MiriMON® is a solution which gives the Service Provider control, and supports a pro-active approach to customer service, rather than a reactive one.

Patented software agent

MiriMON uses a patented, intelligent software agent embedded within each consumer device – typically a Set-Top Box (STB) within an IPTV/cable/satellite network, a mobile handset or a broadband modem – in conjunction with sophisticated server technology, to generate high-value, concise information.

Since MiriMON resides on the STB itself, it can monitor the actual customer viewing experience. MiriMON usage data is anonymous by default, to conform to requirements around data protection and privacy, but can be related to individual customer details where acceptable.

Monitor every device

MiriMON agents are deployed across an entire installed base of devices. The behaviour and information delivered by each MiriMON agent is determined by a reporting configuration, which can be customised on a per-box or sub-group basis.

MiriMON is platform-independent and can reside on almost any consumer device. MiriMON can interoperate with existing OSS solutions, and can provide feeds to or from them, using standards based interfaces.

MiriMON is aligned with emerging industry standards in this area, including the TR series standards from the Broadband Forum (Mirifice is a member).
